Amber Pools

Amber pools behind her gates,
Hidden away, in solitude, paradise waits.
Fortress walls, fearsome guise,
Guard the fire I admire within her eyes.

Breaching the stone with aching breath,
Drawn down to drown, to court my death.
Her waters blaze, they scorch, they heal,
Like flames, purify inside, her truths I feel.

Reveling in a maze of hazel, I’m consumed, lost, undone.
Her gaze slays minds’ shadows untill theres not a one.
In amber depths, I bathe, I fade… I yearn,
To get lost there forever, to drown… to burn.
