Unholy Prayer

In an abrasive swarm

You kamikaze into me, intimately

Untimely, reminding me… I’m

Small, under your gaze…

Tightly wound in your maze

Entwined twine on ankles

Dangling prey from all angles

Tangled in your scripts

Write me up, for these sins

As I score and singe

My name into your skin

Birden you,

While I give you wings

I dive, relentlessly, into you,

Utterly, unholy, exposing you…

Bleeding me out, for your craft

Carving lines in my hole-y past

Etching your name in my sacred space

Unravel me, I’m your prey,

I bleed for you in lines, and I pray

Each drops’ a confession…

Each cry, a beckoning at your shrine

And as I rise…

It’s your voice I hear

Cutting through my fear…

Burdening me, breaking me

And still, I soar beside you here
