Tithing Tied – Concept Art – Poetic Imagery

Introducing the Tithing Tied Concept Art series — six visual pieces (more images coming soon…) born from a collaborative poem Kay and I wrote, also titled Tithing Tied.

Without spoiling too much for those who haven’t read it yet, the poem is heavy — soaked in longing, grief, and something sharp underneath.

That’s all I’ll say. If you really want to feel the full weight of the art, you’ll need to read the words that started it.

Tithing Tied #1

The tide starts to roll in… it’s nearly time to tithe…

Tithing Tied #2

Our prayers will be heard… the ritual has begun… our freedom must be won…

Tithing Tied #3

Into the goblet bleed… flows liquid seed… hearts begins to beat…

Tithing Tied #4

Glorious wings spread up above… formed from the cocoon of love…

Tithing Tied #5

And finally… space and time defeated… she is here with me…

Tithing Tied #6

Forever, together… never to part again… no more blood loss or limbs severed…

About This Art

This little series of images was created based on Kay’s original artwork for our collaborative poem, Tithing Tied. Check out the original post for a closer look at that piece of art, as well as to gain a deeper understanding of these images.
